Life has taught me a few things since I've been living with Lupus. But those lessons have become even more clear since my dad was diagnosed with Cancer. I thought I'd share them with you.
Life is unpredictable, so...
Don't put off the things you want to do.
Treasure every moment, and make it special.
Do what you can, when you can.
Taking a nap in the middle of the day is not being lazy.
Don't put work ahead of family.
The dishes can wait if someone you love calls.
Don't wonder 'why me?' This isn't a punishment. It's just life.
Feeling sorry for yourself doesn't make things better.
Don't waste time being angry or worrying.
You're not dead yet, so keep living!
Don't underestimate the power of prayer.
If you have any lessons you'd like to add, please share them in the comments.
